World Class Talent with Texas Roots

We are based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, but we work nation-wide and world-wide.   Most of our customers have international operations, and we frequently travel internationally as part of each project.

Our consultants live in Texas, including Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Austin.  We also have folks in Oklahoma, Colorado and California.

What does this mean to you?

If you have a project in Texas, chances are we will be able to staff it with local resources, or at a minimum, with folks who aren’t traveling halfway across the country.  This helps minimize the travel expenses, and makes on-going support easier.

And our people are truly world-class, averaging 18 years of experience with the E-Business Suite.  As we’ve said before, we aren’t the biggest consulting firm around, but we feel we are the best!

Less Hassle, Better Results

A good consulting firm should make things simpler, not more complicated!

Customers and consultants should be focused on solving the business issues and bringing up a world-class system.  They shouldn’t have to worry about administrative issues.

At ICS, we have worked hard to streamline our processes, for both customers and consultants.

For customers, our Services Agreements and Statements of Work are simple and straightforward.  If you prefer to use your own standard forms, that’s fine too.  Our invoices are simple, on-time and accurate.  Every customer has our Managing Partner’s cell phone number, and he answers it!

For independent consultants, our contracts are short and sweet, and our time and expense reporting is simple.  Everyone is paid by direct deposit, so no “check is in the mail” issues.  And we pay on time!

Flexibility: Partnering For Success

Working with ICS is not an “all-or-nothing proposition”.  At ICS, we believe in putting together the best teams to help our customers be successful.  After all, it’s about you, not about us!

Sometimes that means an entire team made up of ICS’s outstanding team of consultants, working alongside customer team members.

Sometimes we provide a Project Manager.  Other times the customer may have project management expertise in house.

In some cases we have partnered with other consulting firms to bring the best combination of talent available, particularly for unique, hard-to-find skill sets.

And sometimes it means ICS sub-contracts to larger companies who may already have a relationship, or who may have worldwide capabilities and numbers we can’t match.

Whatever your situation is, talk to us!  We are easy to work with, and willing to partner in the best way possible to ensure success.

Our Focus: the Oracle E-Business Suite

At ICS, our only focus is the Oracle E-Business Suite.  Our partners have specialized in the EBS for over 20 years, going back to release 9.  We have seen many changes over the years.  Here is a quick look at a few of the more major ones:

Release of Oracle HR/Payroll – In the early 90’s Oracle released its Human Resources/Payroll product.  Initially designed in the UK, HR/Payroll had a different database structure and a different look and feel than the Financials and Manufacturing modules.

Release of Oracle Projects – Also, in the early 90’s Oracle released Project Accounting, now known simply as Oracle Projects.

The GUI Interface – Release 9 and earlier were still character-based.  Release 10 was the first version with a GUI interface, where users actually got to use a mouse to navigate the system!  This was a big step!

Multi-Org – Oracle released Multi-Org capability with Release 10.7.  Prior to that time, Oracle required a separate instance for each unique organization.  Multi-org was a leap forward!

Internet Platform – With Release 11i, Oracle moved to an internet-based platform.  With this change, any user with proper access and an internet connection could access their system.  This version also ushered in the use of internet-based forms.

R12 – R12 has focused on centralization and going global. With R12 we now have the ability to consolidate responsibilities, define a true legal structure, and have an Oracle based tax engine. Also, the introduction of SLA (sub-ledger accounting) has giving a lot more flexibility to accounting without the need for customizations.
